What can I do when I experience passage problems?

Put your arms in the air to make more space in your throat and chest.

When you experience passage problems, you should make more space in your body around your throat and chest. You do this by putting your arms up in the air. In this way the food gets more space to go down. Do not drink any water, because that makes the passage problem worse.

You can prevent passage problems by:
  • Eating small portions.
  • Eating really slowly.
  • Chewing on your food for at least 1 minute.
